Designing a space for your child
The old cliché says "home is where the heart is." It may be true, especially for children. Our young hearts are not only home, but more specifically, children and the identity hearts wrapped in their own part of the house – their bedrooms.
For children and many hours of sleep, children grow up well with "their space". And where else can decorate the house with things reflect the personality of the mother and father and styles, a childbedroom usually reflects interests of a child. From phone to Winnie-the-Pooh or a Sesame Street nursery theme then go into a bedroom, which contains all the things a child wants – less clothes hanging small toys, often devoid of tables and chairs (like the one by Rubbermaid Specialty Products), picture books, finger paintings, etc. Anything to make the space feel like a child of the kingdom.
But with a growing child and his interests changing as aeconomically-minded parent design a room that will last many years, or at least from childhood to youth. Interior designers and developers across the country have written several books on the subject. And they all want the baby room design, but if you have a mountain of resources or if you have more of a do-it-yourself, there are many things you must consider.
Firstly, a decision on the furniture. Once the child has become the cradle and oftenescape from the cradle, it's time for a bed for sale. You might want one that fits into existing kitchen space for purchase. But if there is no dresser and you start, here are some things to consider:
According to Dave House, a Florida-based mail order and online business: "When the big furniture to buy items that will grow with the child's Paint. Wallpaper, duvets and accessories to choose test is easier to modify." Opt for something more traditionalwho takes pride in your home. Though Davey may prefer bed-shaped car racing, he will tire of quickly, and if they are willing to trade him beds, you'll need to start a new one for sale.
When you buy a bed for your child, you might consider buying or trundle beds stack. As a child grows, the space for a friend to sleep on the most important. (If this is not an option for you to sleep at night in children who sleep in a tent – ormade of blankets).
Besides a bed, your child will be a belief (or something of clothes and shoes to take necessary), shelves or tubs for toys and books and a desk (for play and, finally, homework). Select the items rounded corners and edges. All these items are available in a wide range of prices from the bottom, IKEA elegant and functional, moderately priced, space-saving design of wood in this way (it's in the hypermarket) in classical and higher end Ethan Allen. ConsultThe Yellow Pages for a complete list of furniture stores and home.
Always involve your child at every stage of a process. If your preschool child or leave, posters and the bedspread this involvement to strengthen their sense of ownership of the room. If the child is older than age child can buy a picture of how the furniture would be the living symbol line room. For encouragement, you have to ask questions like "Howsleep? Where Teddy sleep? How would you like Barbie dolls? Where you draw "You can have a system that you have not seen dragging.
If your child is a toddler or preschool and is still sometimes a tendency to get out of bed, when fixing the event in space, you should recommend to the bed against the two walls for security. For security reasons, beds and scalable objects (ie, vines, and library units), away from windows and make sure the cloth orblind cords are short enough that the child will not be able to compete in the neck again.
When you choose a color for the walls, the child always has a vote. Although you can not royal purple, she is once again painting is one of the easiest and inexpensive decorating changes. What fun your child until it comes from color.
Other easy decorating ideas include jumbo stick-ups. This sconce-like vinyl can be reused many times and are available in adifferent designs with Disney characters, Berenstain Bears, Batman and the land before time. One brand of kits, prices Prints are available in most department stores Sears and JC Penneys.
Another idea for decorating the wall to the graph height. For years, he was with the children, their backs against the wall, while some adults have a line above their heads. If you like the idea but do not want pencil marks on the fresh paint job, money Prints also offers a strip of Mylar that measures up to sixfeet and come with framed photographs of the child with her partner to show.
